Description:
The UNIVAC, designed by J Presper Eckert, become the first commercially successful computer. The computer could handle Numbers and Text, the first one was sold to the US Bureau of Census.
The first real time computer, Whirlwind, was built by Jay Forrester and MIT. It was made for the US Air Defense System. It was then developed into SAGE which was used as an early warning System.
