Naturalis Historia or Natural History is published. This is considered the first type of collection of knowledge in this form. The first encyclopedia even if most of the ideas within the books have been shown to be wrong. Still exists today and is used as a way to get a glimpse into the Roman Era and what they knew. Was used even through the Medieval times as a guide for learning many things about the world. 37 books and a plethora of 'facts' on a multitude of topics. This would have been invaluable to individuals learning the 'sciences' of the time and to be used as a physically limited version of Google. That is an oversimplification, but an apt one. Sources in the volumes are cited as Pliny greatly disliked plagiarism. Was created to provide everyday people information and was not created to promote an idea or any financial wealth.
