jul 19, 1943 - A Logical Calculas of the Ideas Immanent in Nervous Activity
Description:
"A Logical Calculus of the Ideas Immanent in Nervous Activity" was a groundbreaking paper written by two scientists, Warren McCulloch and Walter Pitts. The paper became the foundational work in the study of artificial neural networks and has many applications in artificial intelligence research. The paper describes a simplified neural network architecture for intelligence. Although the neurons described in their paper was simplified compared to biological neurons, the model was improved my many generations of researchers.
