sep 5, 1054 - The Schism

Description:

The schism was the splitting of the Eastern and Western Christina church. The two churches had many disagreements that led to them breaking off into the Orthodox Church and the Catholic Church. The Orthodox church did not believe in the use of images, while the Catholic church did. Also, the Orthodox church wanted to let priests marry while the Catholic church did not. Key concept 3.1
