After a year of wandering the wasteland the world had become, Parnus comes across the heart of Vampire society: the Blood Court.His mysterious circumstance earns him an audience with Blood King Wolfgang Arcturus-Child, but the two are at odds from the moment they meet.
Parnus, disgusted with how the other Vampires behave, leaves in the knowledge that he would be better off without them. He chooses the name Dark-Child in claiming that he does not have a maker or anyone he is tied to.
