jan 1, 1532 - The Prince, Machiavelli
Description:
Niccolo Machiavelli wrote his most famous piece in 1513, but was not published until 1532. The Prince is all about the analysis on how to obtain and maintain political power. It contains 26 chapters and the opening dedication is to Lorenzo de Medici. Within the novel he explains what the role of a leader is. According to Machiavelli the role of a leader in the words of Machiavelli are that a prince should rise to power on by his own merits and honestly. If you trust your friends or others opinions it might be easier to rise as a leader, but once you obtain that power it might be harder to keep it. A true leader rises alone and credits only himself and in return makes it easier in the long run to maintain rule and power.
