dec 12, 1904 - Second American Civil War Begins
Description:
Through bribery and coercion, President McKinley persuades enough of the electors to go faithless and re-elect him. Both the Socialists and the Democrats are outraged. Senator Debs calls for a weeklong general strike.
In response, McKinley declares the Socialist Party to be in a state of rebellion, and invokes the Treason and Rebellion Act to strip all party members of their citizenship. Debs does not back down, and begins gathering his forces in New York.
