The old twang country style combined with the BDSM lyrics makes it fun but also contributes to misconceptions often portrayed in the media.
In the lyrics, Green Day describes feeling dirty, feeling cheap, calling the slave naughty. These are all contributions to a stigma around BDSM Master/slave dynamics that are not true.
Slaves are not seen as naughty or dirty. Their service is an act of love, a gift to those they allow to be their Masters. The Master/slave dynamic is more about trust than pain or punishment. There are many slaves who are not masochistic at all.
Those who do enjoy impact or pain play would never consent to being hit in the head or have a belt sander used on them. These are examples of things that would cause permanent damage which is not allowed in BDSM circles.
Dominated Love Slave, while catchy and funny, is another example of the media misrepresentation of BDSM.
