oct 4, 1987 - Free Trade Agreement (FTA)
Description:
The Free Trade Agreement is one of the biggest events in Canada and the US' trade relations. To sum it up, both sides agreed to eliminate all barriers in the trading of goods and services for 10 years. Some argued that the FTA allowed the US to meddle too much in Canada's affairs, but the Canadian government argued the agreement benefited both sides for the better.
