Description:
The second meeting to discuss the restraint of nuclear weapons was on June 18, 1979 between US President Jimmy Carter and Soviet Leader Leonid Brezhnev. At this meeting, both sides focused on more specific topics than at SALT I and agreed to halt production of nuclear missiles for the next five years.
