sep 6, 1930 - Argentine Military Uprising and Coup

Description:

The 1930 Military uprising is significant in showing the rise to power Peròn had as a result of a coup. The 1930 military coup led to the overthrow of the former leader of Argentina, Hipólito Yrigoyen. The military coup established a new government control. The relation to Peròn's rise to power is that Peròn had a role in the coup that allowed him to be appointed as a secretary to the minister of war rather than the minister of labor. Because of this role, Peròn was able to rise to power with a base of support from the armed forces. It also gave Peròn a place to spread his ideology of supporting the working class and industrialization, gaining Peròn more support from the portrait of Argentina.
