Salah al-Din, general of Saljuqs and founder of the Ayyubid Dynasty, takes back Jerusalem from the Crusaders. Unlike the Crusaders, however, he shows mercy against non-Muslims civilians, and is revered as a noble warrior by Christian forces. Ultimately sparks the third Crusade.
