dec 5, 1955 - Montgomery Bus Boycott
Description:
The boycott was a political and social protest campaign against the policy of racial segregation on the public transit system of Montgomery, Alabama. African Americans refused to ride city buses. This demonstrated their political power as it damaged the bus company's business.
