Gideon was supposed to be back On Leave, in order to see his daughter off into the great big outside world she’d admitted she was so scared of, but the time came and Gideon wasn’t there. His regiment was unable to fly home due to potential airborne threats that turned out to be nothing but rumours. Suffice to say, this did not help his strained relationship with his wife, and he feared this time he’d hurt his eldest daughter more than could be repaired.
