In the 1950s the first electricity was produced form atomic energy at Idaho's experimental reactor. The first ever nuclear power plant was in the city of Obnisk in the former Soviet Union in 1954. With Enrico fermi discovery of a controlled nuclear chain reaction, more nuclear power plants are bulti to reduce the harm that is coming out of burning of fossil fuels and coal and to create an efficient energy.
