mar 14, 1865 - The Black Codes
Description:
The Black Codes were built off of the "slave codes," which were laws that stripped enslaved people of rights. Once they were emancipated, the Black Codes were implemented to keep that superiority of White Americans over Black Americans and was a list of laws that continued to restrict the rights of African Americans. They were shut down in 1866.
