Description:

Soviet tanks moved into Czechoslovakia but most people did not fight back.
Dubcek was removed from power.

The Prague spring showed that other communist countries did not accept this new form of communism. However, it did show that the USSR had once again failed to create any GENUINE IDEOLOGICAL COMMITMENT as people were now openly criticising the government.
