“In1907, thousands of textile workers rebelled all over Mexico. It began at the huge Río Blanco mill near Veracruz. Workers there put in 14 or more hours a day, for 24 to 80 cents a week. Such conditions led workers from many mills to organize. Río Blanco then struck, with women workers in the front lines to stop scabs. Díaz’s troops massacred the people day and night while the owners toasted to their ‘victory’” (pg52)

En 1907, miles de trabajadores textileros se alzaron en rebelión en todo México. Río Blanco se declaró en huelga y las mujeres trabajadoras lucharon para detener a los rompe-huelgas. Mientras los soldados de Días masacraban a los obreros día y noche, los dueños brindaban por su "victoria"
