From week 7 through week 12, various parts of the baby begin to take form. First, it’s the head and brain, then the beginnings of arms and legs. The neck starts to straighten out, and the nose, ears, toes and lips are forming as well. At week 11, the baby’s genitals form, and can now be called a fetus.
