Description:
When the incident happened, workers marched in the streets. They were part of the CNT demonstrating that they wanted to start a revolution. During the demonstration two guards were wounded. The Civil Guard and the Assault Guard arrived and many villagers fled. Some anarchists tried to resist and barricade themselves in their homes. When the Guards arrived they set houses on fire. Soldiers arrested people who own a gun and shot them in the back. The masacre led to a national outrage and weakened the position of the revolotionary left.
