aug 26, 1280 BC - Main temple at Abu Simbel
Description:
The main temple was carved into the side of a cliff on a bank of the Nile River. Four giant statues of a seated Ramses framed the entrence to the main temple. The inside had 3 rooms, called halls, to reach the temple's main room.
