Description:

This strike took part in 1912 in Lawrence Massachusetts. It was a civil conflict between immigrant workers, the Massachusetts police force, and the American Woolen Company. The strike was by immigrant workers from different backgrounds in response the Massachusetts removing two hours from a woman's work day and cutting two hours of pay. Eventually, the mill workers won an increase of 20p percent in pay across New England.
