Week 27 is when the third trimester begins. The baby now looks very similar to what it may look like when delivered, the only difference is that it is smaller now. By this time the baby has a good chance of surviving if they were born. Some organs and organ systems still need to fully mature but there is still a chance for the baby's survival.Added to timeline:
