Description:

Robespierre had many of his political adversaries executed via the guillotine. He was put on trial because the revolutionary leader had enough of the terror, and was sentenced to death by guillotine along with his supporters. This was important because the whole event was ironic, and it was Robespierre and his ideas that led to his demise.
