The Ho Chi Minh trail was mainly a route for North Vietnam to send powerful military supplies to their supporters that were located in South Vietnam. They were able to move multiple tons of supplies to their desired location. They would do so through mountains, jungles, and various other geography.
The Trail and the transport of supplies from one location to another for North Vietnamese supporters was crucial for North Vietnam at the time. It provided them an advantage with having more supplies. This trial will result in further battles that will define the war and which country will be the victor of it.
FUN FACT: The trail was about 12,000 miles long, with around 2 million total soldiers using it at one point.
