Published in 1918 by Fisher, this paper began to help synthesize Darwin's theory of evolution and Mendel's work on genetics which was later further on developed by Ernst Mayr. This is still highly relevant to the modern theory of evolution and is a relatively large part of the theory itself. This was relatively accepted in the beliefs of his time as it was beginning to be understood and developed by other scientists around the same time.
