Description:

Nationalists continued to attack the communists after they fled to South eastern China.
The continues assaults forced the nationalists to leave Jiangxi.
The long journey from Jiangxi to Shaanxi is called the Long march.
About 100,000 communists on foot traveled to Shaanxi which is in northeastern China.
They were chased across18 mountain ranges and 24 rivers.
The little that survived established their head quarters once they made it and Mao Zedong declared himself their leader.
