After fighting the robots that the Chameleon and the Gentleman forced on Spider-Man in a cavern beneath the cemetery, the Spider was near death. Luckily (as always) Felicia Hardy escaped from their clutches and was able to get him to the safety of Doctor Strange at the Sanctum Sanctorum. There, Strange not only saved his life, but was able to (with the help of Reed Richards) restore his secret identity by sending his soul back in time to undo his unmasking by Wilson Fisk while Richards wiped all hint or knowledge from the world via technology.
