One of the guards managed to break his handcuff links, kicked through the office wall he was locked in, then helped the other guards. Police were called asap.

The police made their prime suspect the Guard named Scouse. Being that he was in possession of the keys to the vaults, he made for the most likely inside-man.

After clearing Scouse, Police re-directed their attention to Anthony Black. Black's sister was living with Brian Robinson, who was a known criminal. Police took Black's story apart in having the guards re-enact the event, and by taking and copying his journal in secret, then confronting him about having made changes to his journal several days later. Black Cracked.
