Description:

The Laws of the Twelve Tables is one event that is significant to the growth of the Roman Empire. At the time, there was a struggle between the privileged class (Patricians) and the common people (Plebeians) about how to protect everyones rights, legal, social and civil. This contributed to the growth of Rome because without laws then there would be mayhem and there would have been no punishment for crimes that ewer not death.
