Description:
4 African American students sat at a whites-only lunch counter. They were asked to leave but remained seated.
The next day they returned and were joined by 25 others. The next day they were joined by 80 and the following day 300. Other students did the same thing in other lunch counters in other towns.
Over 70,000 took part.
