Description:

The Bay of Pigs Invasion was an invasion of Cuba to overthrow the rule of Castro. Troops were dispatched on April 17th and quickly defeated within two days. Because of the failed attack, Cuba would pursue a closer tie with the Soviet Union. This would lead to the development of the Cuban Missle crisis.
