Mohammad Abdulazeez opens fire on a military recruiting center and a Naval reserve facility in Tennessee, motivated by foreign terrorist organization propaganda. Later that year a self-radicalized married couple opens fire at a military centre in San Bernardino, California.
In Paris, the satirical newspaper, Charlie Hebdo, is attacked by two militant Muslim brothers.
Later that year, a series of attacks are undertaken by gunmen and suicide bombers at cafes, a rock concert and a stadium in Paris representing the Islamic State.
