A lot about lyrical is not known, and who created it is one of the things I could not find anything about. What we do know is that it was created in Russia in the mid 20th century. It is a great style for kids to learn because they can easily relate to the emotion of the song and dance. It is less physically demanding than jazz or ballet, with the concentration on individual style, rather than the moves.
