DJ Kool Herc was the inventor of hip hop dancing. It was invented in the late 1960's to early 1970's in New York City. Hip Hop moves were inspired by complex rhythms and down-to-earth movement. Shortly after that, hip hop music was created so the dances could go well with more upbeat, fast music.
