Description:

Many schools have adopted the use of tablet computers, particularly for the use by younger students in primary and lower secondary school levels.
Some of the advantages of the use of tablets include the lower prices, compared to computers, portability, and ease of use with the intuitive interface design.
There are also limitations to the use of tablet computers. Research is beginning to demonstrate some of these including many apps used are known to have limited positive effect on learning (Howard et al. 2018) and reduced opportunity to learn or teach digital literacy skills associated with using computers.
