Description:
At 10pm, SED Central Committee leader Egon Krenz is informed of the border crossing situation. However, his concerns are political- no orders to either open the wall or deal with protestors at the checkpoints is given. This leaves the Berlin Wall border to be manned and handled only by its guard staff.
