Description:

On the 12th of September 1854, Australia's first steam railway line in Melbourne was opened by Melbourne and Hobsons Bay Railway Company. It is still in use today but it was turned into the Melbourne Tram Service. It was a very important event as the railway line made going to faraway cities easier and quicker.
