Intimidator GT V8
Description:
Following GTH Automotive's release of the Glide Executive in 2005, Eagle Motor Company felt like they needed to make a statement.
They shifted some manpower around and accelerated the timeline of the highly secretive project, codenamed "Project GT". The result? The Intimidator GT V8 5.5.
At the time of release in spring 2006, the car underwent the routine GPI testings, and by beating the GTH Glide's score, Eagle's goal had been met.
Followin the impressive GPI ratings, Eagle launched a massive marketing campaign for the car, not only in the US, but also in Europe, specifically to try and take a chunk out of the Glide market there. The car did really well in the US markets, but in Europe, the public preferred the Glide for the better fuel economy, and significantly lower price.
The Intimidator boasts a highly sophisticated 5.5L naturally aspirated V8 engine, pumping out 550.6Hp and 549Nm of torque. Having a fairly flat torque curve the power is always within your grasp. Not surprisingly, it's biggest downfall in the ratings was fuel efficiency.
During the tests a top speed of 309kmh was measured and a 0-100kmh time of 4.27 seconds.
Price at launch in 2006:
$59.000
