At Kashiwa HS, I was on my phone when I received a call from Leopalace in search of an apartment. I was actively searching for an apartment in Funabashi City. The person who took my call, Withana Vethma, described my options and stated that the closest apartment they could find within my budget was about 15-20 minutes away from Funabashi Station.
Upon finishing that call, I walked up the stairs and saw the principal of the school walking back to his office, almost implying that he was located directly overhead.
Later that afternoon, one of the teachers who joined that month named Bilal started asking me questions. He asked me where the closest convenient store was around the school. I told him it was about 10 minutes away, and he said that that was far. Then he asked me where I lived. He said, "You live in Funabashi, right?" I told him, "No, I live in Nagareyama." He then said that he lived closeby.
After this event, I was alone in the teacher's office which is split into two rooms except for one other teacher named Kobayashi. Rika Suzuki at Tryon requested that send a farewell message to one of the students she consults for. Mr. Kobayashi then approached me to have me correct a farewell speech, very much in the same vein as Rika Suzuki's request.
