Description:

On the 100th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation, black leaders planned "The March on Washington for Jobs and Freedom." This was a peaceful rally. On this day, more than 200,000 people met to hear speeches for equality. The most famous was a speech by Martin Luther King Jr. This was the largest protest in our nations history.
