mar 15, 1931 - CEDA
Description:
This was a spanish political party formed as a defense towards the right wing. This was formed to protect the normal governmental rights of people such as their freedom to be committed to a religion, to have a normal and happy family, and to own property. Although this was a good idea in the beginning, there was almost no support for this idea. There was no electoral gain in power due to the rising support for the right wing. This later changed though towards the Election of 1936 where CEDA was able to earn most of the seats in parliament. Once CEDA was able to secure seats in parliament, its goals changed where instead of pursuing the right sof the people and supporting the legalism of it, it provided support to militarize the left-wing and started supporting the idea for a civil war to occur.
