apr 6, 1917 - U.S. entry WWI
Description:
In 1914, President Woodrow Wilson declared that the United States would remain neutral with respect to conflicts in the country, and many Americans supported this policy of non-intervention. But public opinion soon began to change when, in 1915, a German submarine sank, with 2,000 people, including 128 Americans. The United States officially entered into conflict, declaring war on Germany.
