sep 6, 1915 - The arrival of Vaishno Das Bagai with his family.

Description:

He arrived in San Francisco in order to start a new life and freedom from the British controlled India.
He became a Naturalized citizen in 1921, settled down bought a house, opened up a shop and assimilated into American culture.
However Bagai's hopes and dreams all came to a close with the 1923 Supreme court ruling which rendered Indians to be non-citizens. Which Led Bagai to loose his house, his business and his rights to vote, Subjugating him to the California alien land laws.
