Description:
This Act generally imposed a restriction on immigration through literacy tests.
They also cut down heavily on South Asian migration to the America through the literacy tests. South Asians (Including Indians) faced a lot of animosity from Americans.
As the result of the immigration act the "Asiatic barred zone".
