The Two Black years was a period of time where the left radicalists had become much more violent and aggressive. This period marked the beginning of the prelude to the civil war because of the increased violence and strikes. Many strikes took place such as the Asturian Uprising. The state of Spain was very poor, with the very weak CEDA government and aggravated left, war was inevitable.
