Description:
The Nanjing massacre was done by the Japanese to the Chinese, it is believed that the Japanese wanted to expand their territory and become self-sufficient, so they raided china and attempted to claim their land. The raping was believed to come from a low level of discipline from the Japanese troops and a commanding officer lost control of his troops. This is widely regarded as one of the first events that led to the beginning of the war.
