On the 100th anniversary of the Emancipation Proclamation Black leaders planned this rally which would hopefully help pass the Civil Rights Bill through Congress. More than 200,000 people met to hear speeches for equality.This was the largest and most peaceful protest in our nations history and a great victory for Civil Rights.
