Description:

Jose Sanjurjo joined the Spanish Army and was stationed in Morocco where he served. He reached the rank of lieutenant general during his time serving in the army. In March of 1932, he lead a attempted military coup against the government. In result of this coup, the government was shaken but the republic stood strong. He was arrested, tried, and sentenced to death, However he served a life sentence instead of dying.
