jan 1, 168 BC - Maccabean Revolt: Group of Rebels among the Jews due to the growing of dissatisfaction of the Greek rule/culture. By the end of 164 BCE, the Maccabean's became in control of Jerusalem, and the temple was rededicated to God once again.
